www.trueblueinc.com and click on the “Employment” link. A group of companies providing temporary employment for other companies, they hire people for a wide variety of temporary jobs.
www.craigslist.org. A free on-line networking page which allows you to look for jobs by region, city and, of course, by type of work.

Volunteer Opportunities

Use your gifts while you are searching for paid employment. HCC has a list of projects around the church, from office work to gardening to website maintenance.

WorkFirst Program
Through Tacoma Community College, there is a program to assist people in training for new careers. For those eligible, there may be tuition assistance, free assessment testing, work-study, and many other services. To find out more, contact WorkFirst at Tacoma Community College at 253.460.4494 or go to the TCC website (www.tacomacc.edu) and search for WorkFirst in the TCC search engine.

Job Board
A “job board” for job postings and job seekers is located in the church office. This board will allow friends and family to post employment needs as well as job opportunities in the community. Postings can be turned in to the receptionist and will be retained for two months. Postings can be “re-upped” by contacting the receptionist.
