What is Alpha?
The Alpha course
is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.
It's relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly, and fun.
There is a meal
together at the beginning of each session which gives you an
opportunity to get to know each other. Listen, learn,
discuss, and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place
where no question is too simple or too hostile. And it's
supported by all the main Christian denominations.
When is the next Alpha course at Harbor Covenant?
The current
course is on Monday nights, from September 8 through
November 17. We meet at the church in the Sanctuary for
dinner at 6 p.m. and will break up for small group
discussions in the building afterwards, finishing at 8:45
p.m. Food for the body and food for the mind/heart/soul!
Childcare is provided for the Monday meetings, including
yummy "kid food" for the kids.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for
everyone, especially:
Those wanting to investigate Christianity
New Christians
Newcomers to the church
Those who want to brush up on the basics
What's involved?
The 8 week Alpha
course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such
as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?" After each
talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.
What will it cost?
There is no
charge for the course, meals, or childcare -- we're
delighted to have you be our guest.
