Selah Prayer Service

A bi-monthly contemplative prayer and praise service for resting in God's presence, reflecting on God's glory, and recognizing God's voice. Come and experience the Taizé and praise music, the quiet, and the variety of prayers.

When: 7:00 p.m., the second Tuesday of each month we meet at Harbor Covenant's Worship Center and the fourth Tuesday we meet at Peninsula Baptist Church (6127 38th Ave NW, Gig Harbor).

The Harbor Covenant Church Prayer Chain is a group who believes in the power of prayer and committed to confidential prayer for our extended family. To start a request call the church office or email us. You may also write a prayer request for the Prayer Chain on the Information Card on Sunday mornings.

Trips to Taizé

Trips to Taizé

Join us for a service of scripture readings, silence, prayers, and simple joyous chants reflecting the Taizé ("teh-ZAY") community in France. Carpool from church or meet us there. The carpools leave the church at 4:30 p.m when going to Tacoma; check with John Kiemele for departure time for Seattle. We'll have dinner together at a restaurant afterwards. Please contact the office to help us plan carpooling logistics.

Quiet Day Retreat

Believe it or not, God does not intend for anyone to run through life full throttle all the time. We were not created that way. Sometimes we need a reminder to take a break, to change our pace. So here is one, coming to you as an invitation to step out of the pushing-and-pulling of everyday and take God’s invitation to simply enjoy some peace and quiet…on purpose! Come experience God’s restful presence – a time where we can walk a little slower, breathe a little deeper, ponder a bit longer – alone or in the company of others who also feel the nudge of God’s invitation.

This retreat meets from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Pre-registration deadline is September 14. Contact John Kiemele for more information.
