Nursery

Newborn to 4 years in the nursery.

 

Kidz Connection (4 years through 2nd grade)
Children start in the Worship Center with their families, and then are excused to storytime in the Kids’ Zone (Rooms 8/9) They learn about God's love through Bible stories and activities.

 

Kids' Choir - second service only - (1st-5th grade)

Children start in the Sanctuary with their families, and then are excused to the Library, in the Education Building.

Sunday School – 9:50 – 10:55 a.m.

Children ages birth through 5th grade: TRU Story is a dynamic, spiritually forming, and family empowering ministry philosophy that offers a vibrant Sunday School curriculum as well as other family resources that meet the specific needs of today's generation. TRU is uniquely created to inspire, equip and support parents and church leaders in their ministry to children. Parents are welcome to attend these classes along with their children and are encouraged to attend our Celebrate and Remember Sunday Classes which will be held about every 6 weeks.

Kids' Choir

The Kids' Choir offers a perfect mix of fun and building singing skills. The singers perform regularly for the congregation as part of our worship experience. At the 11:00 a.m. service, children (1st-5th grade) start in the Sanctuary with their families, and then are excused to their rehearsal.

Held several times throughout the year, this event offers the opportunity to celebrate what our children are learning. It is a time of games, food and blessing.

AWANA helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community

As a ministry leader for nearly 60 years, AWANA is making an impact. A recent national survey found AWANA to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!

Each week, more than one million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in AWANA. Over 12,000 churches in the US and 7,600 internationally run AWANA programs that change young lives through biblical truth.

HCC's AWANA Club begins September 8, and meets every Thursday, 6:40 – 8:10 p.m. in Room 101.
