Prayer Services

Selah Prayers – 7:00 p.m. at Selah Center on Tuesday, July 27. This contemplative prayer service will feature music from the Taizé community. The setting is simple. The pace is refreshing. Experience the music, the prayers…the quiet. Everyone is welcome.

FYI, there will be no scheduled Noon prayers on Thursdays at the Selah Center during the summer months.

Prayer Retreat

Selah Center Quiet Waters Retreat - Friday, July 30 beginning at 12:00 p.m. and featuring a prayer-filled walk through the Washington Arboretum (in Seattle's University District) followed by the Taizé prayer service at St. James Cathedral in Seattle (prayer service starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.). Registration cost: $10. Bring your own lunch and money for an optional dinner after the Taizé service. Quiet Waters retreats are our regular half-day retreats inviting those who desire to hit the pause button and step out of the rush of ordinary life in order to experience the renewing, undemanding rhythms of quiet. Other Selah Center Opportunities

Personal Retreat Space - Selah Center invites you to drop by for daytime personal retreats, reading space, rest and reflection. There are two ways to experience this: Simply drop by the Center and settle into any corner of the larger room overlooking the harbor. No reservations are needed for the larger room as long as the room is not occupied by a scheduled group. A second way to experience your personal retreat is to reserve a designated private room with balcony overlooking the harbor ($10 for up to three hours).
