Discernment
Have you often wondered where to find direction to make life choices? Sometimes when you have no other choice, the answer is simple. But when options become available “decision paralysis” can strike. Also, seeking God’s will can add another confusing and frustrating layer to our process. The pressure to “do the right thing” with our big decisions can be overwhelming; however, have we considered that much of the answer just might be in our everyday habits and prayer?
Join us in this class as we explore discernment as developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola in his classic, Spiritual Exercises. Reading Inner Compass by Marjorie Silf, we practice some of these helpful exercises used for over 400 years as our “what to do?” is slowly replaced by “who to be?” and “how to abide in Jesus Christ?” in our everyday life.
Join us Wednesday mornings from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Selah Center in Gig Harbor (3419 Harborview Drive). Starting April 14 we begin 8 different topics on this theme of discernment. Mary Pandiani facilitates. Each class is $10. The book is available at each class and costs $15.
Registrations are still open.
