The Message:
We at Harbor Covenant Church have been seeking God’s vision for our future. We have been asking, “What is God doing?” and “What do we need to be doing to be doing what God is doing?” We know that one of the answers is for us to create a warm, welcoming community. Another answer is that we need to be going out into our community and introducing people to Jesus. We have a vision for moving deeper in discipleship and further into our community in outreach.
As we begin our “Growing Together to Serve” campaign to renovate our worship center and create additional space for welcoming and gathering, we set our sites on a vision that will help us move into the future poised to do great things for Christ and His kingdom.
One of the ways that we will grow is in our understanding of stewardship. God, who has given generously to us, also calls us to be generous givers. The call is for us to give generously “over and above” our regular offering for the next three years.
I am praying that we will end this campaign with a more appropriate facility for our ministry, a deeper concern for our community and an experience of the goodness and faithfulness of God.
