Worship At Harbor Covenantpilot /p'aɪlət/ adjective: experimental, tentative, trial pilot program: a program that serves as a tentative model for future development. Here at Harbor Covenant, we want to connect as many people as possible to Jesus. As our congregation changes, we need to discover new ways to help people encounter God in worship. On April 11, 2010 we begin a two and half month worship pilot program offering two distinct worship experiences. 8:30 worship will remain largely unchanged from what we do currently. Our regular style of worship will continue to be led by our outstanding worship team with participation by the choir. 11:00 will be a little different, a little simpler format, a little more contemporary, a little more experimental. This service will be more along the lines of last summer’s 5:00 worship experience,. It will be led by several worship leaders from outside of our congregation. The sermon will be the same at both worship services. Whether you come at 8:30 or 11, come expecting to encounter God in a personal and powerful way each week. Give your Alaska Airline miles to HCC without losing them for your own use.Alaska Airlines offers the opportunity to share airline miles without losing them for your own use. If you are going to be flying with Alaska, contact Jill Branham at jbranham@harborcovenant.org so that she can arrange for you to partner with HCC. Our account will be credited with any miles you earn without reducing yours. This will allow us to share those miles with members planning mission trips and missionaries needing travel funds. Did You Know?Did you know that 37 people from the Harbor Covenant Church High School Ministry will be serving in Panama with Sonrise Ministries for two weeks this summer? (For a cool look at Sonrise Ministries, visit their YouTube video HERE) Did you know that the trip will cost each participant $1,750? Did you know that you can help? Here’s how… Go to the envelop board (usually located in the Education Building lobby). 1. Take an envelope. The number on the envelop will be the amount of money you will be giving to the Panama Mission Project.
Make the check out to Harbor Covenant Church for the same amount as the number on the envelope.
This card will be given to one of the students going on the trip who will then keep you informed about the mission trip prior, during, and after the trip Put the envelope (containing check and info card) in the drop box outside the student ministries offices across from room 106 or return the envelope to the church office The Panama Mission Team will need to have ALL of the envelopes filled prior to the trip (June 27 – July 10, 2010) in order to meet all of their expenses so we are counting on you to fill up an envelope today…it’s as easy as 1-2-3-4! Searching For A Job? We'd Like To Help!We are compiling data on job skills of those HCC family members needing to find work. If you would like to have your information available to employers with job openings send a description of your job category (construction, clerical, sales, technology, etc.) and abilities to info@harborcovenant.org . We will be publishing a flyer with a list of skills available and provide prospective employers with a list of those meeting their hiring requirements.
