CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
9:45 a.m., Children ages two years – fifth grade are learning some amazing things from God’s Word. Come and hear the Christmas story through the eyes of Isaiah.
How are your Bible skills coming along? Do you remember how many books there are in the Bible? Where do you think you can find the book of Isaiah? Did you learn a new attribute about God this week? If you have, send Jeanne Glazebrook an e-mail and we’ll add it to our list.
Our missionaries Tim & Mabel Koop left October 21 and have safely arrived in Tanzania! Look on a map and find where they are serving with Rafiki (meaning “friend” in Swahili). We also have a team going to the Dominican Republic to work with children who have special needs. They might get to visit with our sponsor children – Marianny & Luckerson Merilus. Remember them in your prayers.
8:30 or 11:00 a.m., Ages 4 years – third grade (dismissed during worship service to Room 8/9 after the Blessing of the Children) Hear great stories about Joshua plus each month you will also meet some of our missionaries. On November 2, the Toctaquiza family from Ecuador (Marco, Kacey, Diego & Isabella) will visit us and on November 30, you’ll meet Doug and Linda Olsen, missionaries to Alaska. You may also stay in the worship service with your parents to learn how to worship with the “big people”. There are activity sheets available in the lobby for you to use while you sit in the service.
During Kidz Connection (8:30 a.m. service): First through fifth grade. Come practice with the choir in Room 201 as they prepare for the Christmas pageant, “Getting Ready for the Miracle”. This great event takes place on Sunday, December 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. There will be a dress rehearsal Saturday, December 13, at 10:00 a.m.
Thursdays at 6:40 p.m., AWANA is an exciting club where you learn about Jesus and how you can serve Him. For more information about HCC AWANA Club, contact Commander John Sharrett and you can check out www.awana.org to read more about AWANA Clubs International. Parents: You are invited to volunteer or be a guide in helping to teach our kids about God’s love for them while having lots of fun! Don’t forget! Operation Christmas Child Collection boxes are to be ready by November 20.
