SENIOR ADULTS
Prime Timers (age 55+) will celebrate entry into fall with a luncheon on Friday, September 25. You won’t want to miss hearing Kacey & Marco Toctaquiza as they tell of their experiences at Hope House in Macas, Ecuador.
Save your appetite for a delicious lunch catered by Mr. Rick and featuring: Sautéed white chicken & veggie lasagna Steamed herb-infused mixed vegetables Tossed nine-leaf green salad Fresh-baked sliced garlic bread Assorted dessert tray Portland punch fountain
Prime Time Luncheons are festive occasions with beautifully decorated tables and excellent conversation. Turn your calendar page and write “YUM!” in the September 25 slot (you might want to add “Prime-time lunch – 11:00 at HCC”). Plan to spend an enriching time with old friends while seizing the opportunity to make new ones.
Retirement Living Planning Ministry In February and March 2007, the Elder Care Committee offered a series of classes on living options for seniors, from living at home to living in a nursing home facility. Three church members who have expertise in retirement living planning have volunteered to meet on an individual basis with seniors to discuss their retirement living alternatives. If you are interested in talking to one of these three individuals, please contact Sandy Olson. Sandy is the coordinator for the ministry and will try to match you with the person most suited to your needs. In addition, CD’s of the 2007 classes on retirement living alternatives are available in the church library.
