HCC High School Ministry Exists to:

-EXPOSE students to the Good News of Jesus Christ and to Harbor Covenant Church.

-EQUIP students to make good decisions and to strengthen their relationships with Christ, family, friends, and peers

Weekly Meetings:

Sunday Mornings: "9:59 a.m."

- 9:59 meets every Sunday morning at 9:59 a.m. for trivia, group discussions, worship,
and an enticing Scripture-based lesson. Meets at 9:59 a.m. in the Youth Pod.

Wednesday Nights:
- Our Wednesday nights offer ways for students to have fun, spend time in God's
Word, worship together, and hear each other's stories. Wednesdays are on a 4-week rotation: "D" Nite - Focuses on a specific discipline of our faith, such as prayer, fasting, and

confession, "M.A.D. Nite" - Focuses on ways how we can Make A Difference in our world,

Praise & Worship Nite- A night praising and worshiping God together, and When Nature Calls - A night focused on lessons learned from the wonders of nature!

Meets at 7:30 - 9:00p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Small Groups:
- Small groups offer students a way to grow deeper together and in Christ in a moreintimate setting. Contact Mike Stelle or Heather Maher if you are interested in joining a group

Special Events:

Rainiers' Baseball Game:
- Our once-a-year rally around our favorite right - fielder! Complete with hotdogs, baseball cheers, and a visit to the Cheney Baseball Stadium.

Bogus Ball:
- Our youth group "blind-date" prom! Learn who your date is the night of, then we go as a
group to a special event! Events include a night of square dancing, miniature golf, car rallies, and much more!

 

Lip Sync:
- Our classic Wednesday Night competition: Who can lip sync a song best? Winners receive fame and glory for the rest of their lives.

 

Welcome Movie:
- Our annual school - year kick off! Your favorite movies spliced together to make one hilarious flick!

 

Grad Banquet:
- Our yearly celebration of our graduating Seniors! We roll out the red carpet (literally!) for a night at the "Oscars" for our grads.

Camps and Retreats:

Summer Camp:
- We partner with two other Gig Harbor churches to pull the students from our community together! Summer camp 2010 is planned for August 2 - 6 at Bridgeport State Park.

 

Beach Freeze:
- Our annual winter retreat to the beach! We spend a weekend at Ocean Shores, playing football by the water and riding go-karts on the local slick-track! A weekend filled with fun, friends, and diving deeper into our faith. Scheduled for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

 

Mission Trips:
- Each year our youth group goes on a local or global mission trip. Trips have included Seattle, Vancouver B.C., San Francisco, and Costa Rica. For this year's trip we will be serving in Panama!
